Staying positive en route to finding success in life is never effortless. In fact it takes a lot of energy and hardwork to just keep going and not to quit.
Most often quitting seems to be the perfect and viable option and we easily give into this temptation to just stop the never ending saga of struggle. But rarely does this provide us with the comfort of a solution.
We all have dreams that we want to see succeed, but the path to success is never easy nor comfortable. The most important aspect of this journey is to stay motivated all along and this is indeed what most of us lack : EVERYDAY MOTIVATION TO PERSIST.
No success is achieved without multiple failures, but staying motivated will take you through the struggles of reaching your goals.
Hence, lets see how we can be our own inspiration to stay motivated throughout our journey of life. This might seem a little cliche but the truth is that there is no cure-it-all potion to success, its the same old road with its twists, turns, ups and downs.
- Learn to Embrace the Struggle
The sacrifices, pain and struggles are they worth it ??? Ultimately, YES… No matter what your goals might be, its gonna be a hell of a fight.
Being pessimistic comes quiet naturally to most of us, but try to teach yourself to find even slightest optimism within your struggles and keep reminding yourself on why you are doing this in the first place.
Most often, our timings never work out. But do not be let down by this. Our life is not a hundred meter sprint but a marathon whose final destination keeps fluctuating as we progress. Its not all about winning but if you have the stamina to completed the whole of it. When is not the question to be asked…but ask yourself WHY you want to achieve this in the first place… know your motive.
Happiness is the key…
2. Understanding HOW FAR YOU HAVE REACHED.
Melt downs and blocks are normal, but giving in to these temptations is the problem. When you feel yourself to be stuck, look back to how far you have come. You might not have achieved something great, but you will definitely have achieved something and these are what you should keep reminding yourself about. Keep reminding yourself that every grain of sand is important.
3. Perfectionism is a joke ???
Nothing in this world s perfect. Our universe in itself is a huge collection of imperfections. When aiming for perfections, disappointment becomes inevitable because there is nothing called perfect. Every plans needs modelling, re-modelling, re-re-modelling, it can only happen when we believe that there are more than a single perspective to how things can be done. If one fails, there is always another. When you have the hit the bottom with an idea, a change in the perspective in which you look at things can create wonders by shedding light in different angles.
4. Impact of quitting…
Until you give in to the urge to quit (which is the situation often) you are still in the game. The moment you give up, there is no longer a game to be played in the first place. For a moment’s satisfaction you might be giving up a lifetime’s worth of happiness. The feeling of being a failure is much much worse than failing itself.
5. There should always be BREAK-TIME
“All work and no play makes Jack a Dull boy.” There will be times when life might seem overwhelming and too much to handle, during such moments it is vital that we take break and refocus on our entire perspective. Sometimes, a little ME-time is all it takes to bring us back into the mood to lunge forward.
TRUST YOURSELF AND BE PROUD OF WHAT YOU ARE…
Never lose hope, always trust in your self and be proud (Not Pompous) in what you have become. Loving oneself is very important. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder for keeping on going … You deserve it…
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.”
– Michael Jordan
